Syntel and Motive Successfully Launch 15 Intelligent Service Implementations
Customers Leverage the Web to Improve Service Capabilities and Control Costs
TROY, Michigan, Nov. 13, 2001 -
Syntel (NASDAQ: SYNT), a global Applications Outsourcing and e-Business firm, announced today the completion of 15 successful software implementations with Motive Communications, Inc. http://www.motive.com. Syntel provided implementation and customization services for Motive's intelligent service technology.
With Motive's ServiceNet Platform, companies are able to build service directly into digital products and processes to deliver fast, relevant answers to users when they have questions or problems. Since announcing their partnership in February 2001, Syntel and Motive have jointly pursued customers looking to control support costs while continuing to meet the increasing demand for quality service. Successful customer implementations include solutions at three leading personal computer manufacturers, two Fortune 500 general merchandise retailers, a world leader in mobile communications, a leading network and solutions product provider, as well as the leading broadband service provider. Results have included a reduction in call volume to service desks, increased quality of service, higher customer satisfaction ratings, and increased productivity through user resolution of problems. At one of the retailers, Mean Time to Response (MTTR), a key customer metric, was reduced by 20 percent.
"We've been extremely pleased with the level of service and responsiveness that Syntel provides to our customers. Their ability to quickly provide trained consultants, their depth of experience in legacy technologies, and their knowledge of the Motive solution has made them invaluable in a number of customer implementations," said Scott Abel, Motive's Vice President of Solution Services. "Their teams of experts combined with the Motive technology has enabled us to provide customized solutions to our joint customers with excellent results."
"With the Motive solutions we've implemented, these Global 1000 corporations will be able to use the Internet or their intranet to solve technical support problems or get important questions answered," said Murali Chunduri, Syntel's Motive Practice Director. "They'll be able to reduce the workload of their service personnel by offloading mundane requests. We are proud to have been chosen by these Global 1000 companies as their Motive implementation partner."
